Your skin

Congested skin with visible pores

Blackheads, enlarged pores and an uneven surface. Congested skin shows itself through irregular texture, often shinier across the T-zone: forehead, nose and chin. This is not simply a question of daily cleansing. It is a skin that has to be assessed, to understand what actually sets it off, before any treatment is chosen.

Congested skin with visible pores

What can cause it

  • Heavier oil production, particularly across the T-zone
  • Pores widened by a build-up of impurities and dead cells
  • Hormonal shifts, or periods of heavier stress
  • Pore-clogging products, or cleansing that does not go far enough

What to expect from the assessment

We assess your T-zone and your more reactive areas separately. The same face is often congested in one place and dehydrated in another, and the treatment has to be calibrated accordingly.
