The FaceMap® assessment, in twenty minutes
Before any treatment, your skin is assessed. This is not a courtesy chat: it is twenty minutes in which we bring together three different things, because none of the three is enough on its own.
The skin analyser
Your face is photographed and analysed by an instrument that returns a complete picture of the skin, including what the mirror never shows: the layers below the surface and the signals that appear long before they become visible. This is the objective part, the same for everyone.
The questions
Then come the things no instrument can measure: how you sleep, what you use in the morning, whether you have changed city or job, where you are in the month, what you have already tried and how it went. The skin you have today is also the result of all of that.
The therapist's eye
And finally the craft. The person looking after you puts the data and your answers together, and decides. This is where twenty years given to the face make the difference, because the same data on two different people leads to two different decisions.
What the instrument measures
It photographs the face under three different lights: standard, polarised and ultraviolet. That is why it sees beneath the surface, because each light reaches a different depth. In seconds it returns eight measurements.

The values are compared against your own previous images. That is how you can tell whether something is working, instead of relying on your memory of how your skin looked a few months ago.

Your skin diary
What we see in your skin does not stay a conversation held aloud and then forgotten. It becomes a paper diary, yours, that you take home: what we found, what we expect, what to do in the days between one appointment and the next.
It is also why we can tell you whether something is working. Without a written starting point, improvements in skin are quickly forgotten.
How we work
Saying you are different is easy and means nothing. These are the four rules that actually make us different: they hold for everyone, always, even when the opposite would be more convenient.
We take on only fifteen new faces a month
This is not a way of making ourselves sought after. It is the number of people we can genuinely follow, remembering each one's skin from one appointment to the next. Beyond that number we would have to choose between taking more clients and looking after them well. We have already chosen.
No treatment begins before the assessment
This holds even if you already know what you want, even if you have had that treatment elsewhere. First we assess your skin and explain what the data show, then your skin therapist chooses the treatment. Sometimes that means postponing a treatment you had already chosen, or suggesting a different one from the one you came for.
We have no sales targets on products
None of us has a figure to hit at the end of the month. If your routine is already working, we tell you so and suggest nothing. A product comes up only when it serves what we have seen in your skin.
Deborah trained whoever looks after you
We do not hire skin therapists and send them off to an outside course. Deborah trains them herself, one by one, in the FaceMap® Method. It is why the method stays the same across all four suites, whoever you find waiting for you.

Deborah gave over twenty years to caring for the face before deciding that Italy needed somewhere different: a spa specialising in the face, holding together the rigour of a scientific assessment of the skin and the sensory care of a ritual worked out down to the smallest detail.
The FaceMap® Method came out of that conviction: never a standard protocol, always an assessment of the skin before anything is chosen. Today Deborah still trains every skin therapist on the team herself, so that the same idea survives intact in every treatment.
What happens when you walk in
Something shifts the moment you cross the threshold. It is not the light on its own. It is not the scent on its own. It is every detail together, arranged so that your body understands, before your mind does, that time slows down here.
The arrival
A welcome ritual is waiting: water and herbal tea, a cool towel in summer, a warm one in winter. The first gesture, before the first treatment.
The suite
Four suites, fitted with every comfort and furnished with real care: a bubble that is yours alone, where the bed feels like a cloud and the walls, running to the ceiling, keep every confidence you share.
The atmosphere
Light and sound adjusted to the mood of that particular suite, never identical to the others. Scent and music chosen to accompany the moment, never to fill a silence that here belongs to you already.
